KANA Statement: COVID-19 precautions
The Kansas Association of Nurse Anesthetists (KANA) represents more than 800 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs) across Kansas. Because frontline healthcare personnel such as nurse anesthetists are at increased risk of exposure to COVID-19, members are encouraged to follow local health department guidelines and contact their primary care physicians for the most up-to-date healthcare information and recommendations on vaccinations and boosters. KANA’s focus remains on safe, effective anesthesia care for the citizens of Kansas and our members.
KANA further encourages CRNAs and student nurse anesthetists to always use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safety precautions including infection prevention and control and hand hygiene practices.
